Thiru D.G. Rajan was Born as the third son of Shri V.S.K. Duraiswamy Nadar, Thiru D.G. Rajan attended Campion School in Mumbai. His daily commute via public transport instilled in him valuable life lessons of independence and resilience. Thiru D.G. Rajan, a distinguished Chartered Accountant, is known for his wise counsel, constant encouragement, and ever-present smile. His life serves as an exemplary model for all.
In 1951, he embarked on his educational journey at the renowned Doon School, he soon excelled in sports, representing the school in cricket, football, and hockey, and becoming the opening bowler for the cricket team.In 1957, he joined St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, despite not having a background in economics. With determination and a persuasive interview, he secured admission, setting the stage for his impressive educational foundation.
Thiru D.G. Rajan became a Chartered Accountant in 1965 after serving as an Articled Clerk in London and working for Price Waterhouse, London. His dedication led to a prosperous career in accounting.His professional journey led him to Lovelock and Lewes, where he played a pivotal role in establishing the firm’s prominence in Mumbai. Thiru Rajan’s leadership skills and client-focused approach propelled the firm’s growth and reputation.
Thiru Rajan’s membership in the Bombay Gymkhana Club helped expand the firm’s clientele, especially among multinational and Indian companies. His efforts led to Lovelock and Lewes being appointed as one of the joint auditors of the Central Bank of India. After a successful stint in Mumbai, Thiru G. Rajan returned to Kolkata in 1984 as Senior Partner of the firm. He introduced self-regulatory measures for senior partners and continued to enhance the firm’s reputation.
In his illustrious career, Thiru D.G. Rajan also served on the boards of various leading companies. His contributions extended to his alma mater, where he facilitated scholarships for students through his extensive network.
Despite his numerous accomplishments, he remained deeply committed to education and the betterment of his community. Serving as a Treasurer, (A.S.K.R Trust) in V.S.K.D school activities, he demonstrated a full dedication to fostering the growth and development of future generations. His tireless efforts in this role not only enriched the lives of countless students but also underscored the importance of giving back and nurturing young minds for a brighter tomorrow. Thiru D.G.
